This is our pride of Tamil nadu Srivilliputhur Srivilliputhur Andal temple  i n srivilliputhur, a town in  Virudhunagar district in the South Indian state of Tamil nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It is located 80 km from Madurai. It is one of the 108  Divyadesam dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Vatapatra Sai and his consort Lakshmi as Andal. It is believed to be the birthplace of two of the Azhwars, namely Periyalwar and his foster daughter Andal. Periyalvar (originally called Vishnu Chittar) was an ardent devotee of Vishnu and he used to string garland to Vishnu every day. Sastha Temple is located 10 kilometer from Rajapalayam. On the way to sastha temple you can visit lord shiva temple at devadhanam a very old temple and also known as "vahu sthala".  There will more devotees visiting the temple on "prathosam" very special day for Lord Shiva. You can see Dam and "coconut thottam" on the way, after certain limit forest department people want let our vehicles inside they will provide us van. They will charge some amount for the ticket and it 5 minutes travel. Then you have to  walk for 3 minutes and reach the destination.  Note: Enjoy nature and get rid all problems and don't spoil our forest by using plastic covers.Thankyou.

A best place for trucking

Shenbaga Thoppu , a forest area about 8 km west from Srivilliputtur is a very good option for trekking. There is no proper bus service to reach here though. However, the place can be reached by two-wheeler or even cycle . There are some waterfalls on the way, you can take bath and enjoy. People from surrounding will gather here especially during the winter and rainy seasons. The river and water falls (Meenvetti Parai) are so famous. Many people visit this nice place everyday from Srivilliputtur, Rajapalayam and Sivakasi regularly.  The forests are found on the eastern slopes of the western ghats . Only 6.3% of the total geographical a🌙rea is under forests. Many rare and endemic varieties of flora and fauna are found along the mountain slopes.  The sanctuary also hosts a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles and butterflies. Chathuragiri is situated 10 Kms from Watrap near Srivilliputhur. The name came from Chathur means (four Vedas) giri means (hills).Where all four Vedas met and formed the hills. In ancient times Sathuragiri was known as UdayaGiriNathar. In Udayagirinathar a vast tract of land belonged to a wealthy landlord and an ancient Shiva temple was situated in that land. The temple was taken care by an elderly priest. There also was a stream (similar to the present Agaya Ganga Theertham at Sathuragiri) running next to the temple . Public are allowed only Six days in a month, 3 days each during New Moon & Full Moon days (i.e. Day before & Day after, with Full moon or New moon days).water falls are in Sadhura Giri. Water source are pure and clear. Devotees should not pollute the water source. Everyone should bath carefully in the river.Devotees should save the forest.It is better to avoid plastic covers and water bottles in Sadhuragiri Forest because so many living being
