Vastu shastra (vāstu śāstra) is a traditional Indian system of architecture originating in India which literally translates to "science of architecture. These are texts found on the Indian subcontinent that describe principles of design, layout, measurements, ground preparation, space arrangement, and spatial geometry. Vastu Shastras incorporate traditional Hindu and in some cases Buddhist beliefs. The designs are intended to integrate architecture with nature, the relative functions of various parts of the structure, and ancient beliefs utilising geometric patterns symmetry, and directional alignments

Vastu Shastra are the textual part of Vastu Vidya, the latter being the broad
er knowledge about architecture and design theories from ancient India. Vastu Vidya knowledge is a collection of ideas and concepts, with or without the support of layout diagrams that are not rigid. Rather, these ideas and concepts are models for the organisation of space and form within a building or collection of buildings, based on their functions in relation to each other, their usage and to the overall fabric of the Vastu.  Ancient Vastu Shastra principles include those for the design of Mandir  principles for the design and layout of houses, towns, cities, gardens, roads, water works, shops and other public areas

Vastu in Sanskrit means nature , a surrounding or environment.The word "Vasthu" came from Vasthu , denoting anything existing such as house, shelter,building etc.Shastra in sanskrit means systems.Vastu shastra is an ancient art and science,containing principles and practises of constructing buildings which ensures a harmonious balance between man and nature and thereby bring all round happiness,health,wealth and prosperity.Ancient sages of India laid down several principles for constructing buildings taking advantage of the nature,the Pancha Bhootas namely Earth,Space,Air,Fire and water,gravitational and magnetic effects and rotational influences of Sun,Moon,Earth and other planets on the life in Earth with a view to bring balance and harmony between man, nature and his buildings and thereby ensuring peace,prosperity,and happiness.These principles,calledVaastu Shastra,were evolved over thousands of years out of experience and foresight of ancient Sages of India and are very valuable for the well being of man-kind. According to Shastras,if we worship,revere and respect the lords of these eight directions,they will shower on us their blessings and benefits.

  Gunaseelam Vishnu Temple Gunaseelam Vishnu Temple (Abhimana Sthalam)  is a Hindu temple dedicated to  Vishnu  located 20 km (12 mi) from Trichy.  in the South Indian state of  Tamil Nadu . It is located on the banks of river Kollidam. A visit temple is believed to be a curative to the mentally challenged people, who are taken to the temple and kept in the temple premises for 48 days. Kalikesam falls

Located in kanyakumari district The Kalikesam Falls were discovered by an enthusiastic trekker, exploring the rainforests of the area. One can take a dip in the pond created by the Kalikesam Falls below. However, the winter months are considered ideal to visit these falls, as the animal frequency is restricted to night time. The Kalikesam Falls remain perennial even in the dry months of summer season. A cave located near the Kalikesam Falls, known as ‘ Bottani Cave ’ is used by the tourists for cooking. It is advisable not to stay at the falls after sunset, as the wild animals arrive at the area to quench their thirst.
